Jim Anderson, MFT is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in Private Practice in Irvine California. Jim holds an A.A. in Music Education, a B.S. degree in Human Services, and a Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Counseling. Jim has been awarded City, State, and Federal Grants for his innovative work with Foster Children and “At-Risk” Youth. He is state licensed with the Board of Behavioral Science Examiners and is a Clinical Member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
Jim is a strong believer in the power of art and creativity to affect change in people's lives. As professional drummer, he has worked in the field of education, studio recording, and the performing arts, including a world tour with Robert Palmer’s Band. He has presented Clinical Music Therapy Workshops for the Irvine Unified School District and facilitated Research at Orangewood Children’s Home, OC Probation Department and Irvine Community Services. In 1998, Jim was awarded a City Grant for his innovative work with "at-risk" youth, which was featured on the Orange County News Channel and made the front page of the Orange County Register.
